The Castlemaine State Festival is Victoria’s premier regional arts festival and is one of the most anticipated events on the national arts calendar. This 10-day multi-arts celebration draws on the distinctive culture and dynamic community strengths of the central Victorian goldfields region — the old and the new, the artistic and the agricultural.

For Patrons and Donors we offer unique opportunities for you to have a deeper experience of the artistic riches of the festival; to enjoy more intimate connections with artists, organisers and fellow supporters.

By joining the Patrons and Donor Program, you can play a key role in realising the vision for the 2013 festival. Bringing such a major regional arts event to fruition takes two years of dedicated work. To plan effectively, we need to ensure that reliable and dependable funding sources are available – to this end the contributions of our Patrons and Donors are enormously important.

Patrons’ and Donors’ financial contributions are tax deductable. Your contributions can be tailored to best suit your needs. You choose the level of patronage or donation. You choose the method of payment. You choose the art forms you prefer to support.

By becoming a Patron or Donor, you will be joining a very special group of people whose loyalty and commitment to the Castlemaine State Festival has helped shape this extraordinary event into the prestigious and treasured arts and cultural celebration that it has become.

Becoming a Patron or Donor

Our Patrons and Donors express their support for the Castlemaine State Festival by pledging an annual donation for a minimum of 2 years. Any annual donation of $100 and above, given over a 2-year period, will be considered part of the Castlemaine State Festival’s Patrons and Donors Program – as such you become a valued member of our Festival family.

In return for your generosity and support and to ensure that your donation remains tax deductible and meets Australian Tax Office guidelines, we offer you:

a personalised priority booking service and preferential seat allocations
seating in the VIP area at the public opening
an invitation to program launches in Melbourne and Castlemaine
an invitation to the VIP preview of the Visual Arts Biennial
a print copy of the Castlemaine State Festival Program mailed to you
acknowledgement and recognition in print and digital promotional material as an important member of the Castlemaine State Festival family
invitations to VIP events, exclusive Patrons and Donors events and meet the artist functions
regular newsletters and updates from the Castlemaine State Festival Board, the Festival Director and his team
regular updates on the calendar of events run by Friends of Castlemaine State Festival
a tax receipt for tax deductibility reasons (sent out annually at the end of the financial year, for your convenience).
