Conversations With Writers
The National Trust classified historic home — Buda — is the setting for a different kind of encounter with writers and their writing. There will be four separate sessions conducted in the gracious Garden Room at Buda. In each, the writer will read from the work and discuss the work and the craft of writing. Each of the prize-winning writers is a specialist in a different genre: Alex Miller (novel), Judith Rodriguez (poetry), Cate Kennedy (short story) and Julie Gittus (young adult novel). In this comfortable and intimate setting, the audience can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a biscuit, and hear a short reading followed by half an hour in conversation with host Ross Donlon, and audience questions to conclude. Participate in all sessions at a special price, or choose the genre or writer of special interest to you.
